- City wide activity remains a 1.
- In general trap counts were much lower this week. The low counts
are a direct response to the dry conditions.
- Rain in the forecast late this week into next week could cause
trap counts to increase.
- We only averaged .7 inches of rain last week with the spotty
rain showers.

| Surveillance and Control |
- 7 CDC style light traps were set this week, a total of 172
mosquitoes were caught. The average number of mosquitoes per trap
was 25. This was down 60% down from last week.
- 5 OFP style traps were set this week, a total of 43 tiger
mosquitoes were caught. The average number of tiger mosquitoes per
trap was 9. This was about the same as last week. Trap counts did
not increase as expected.
- 4 gravid traps were set this week, a total of 17 mosquitoes were
caught. The average number of mosquitoes per trap was 4. Trap counts
were way down this week.
- Information on spray activities is posted on the Mosquito Spray
Hotline (393-8666 press 1 when prompted). Citizens can call and
listen to a recorded message to find out what areas are scheduled
for mosquito spraying.
