ABC Art: Art for Preschoolers Ages 3-5
Children are introduced to the world of art and artists as they create
their own masterpieces in this parent/child program. This ten-week
session allows them to explore art and to develop their art-making
skills.
Location: Courthouse Galleries Gift Shop
Times: Mondays, I - 10:00-11:00a.m. Tuesday, III - 9:30-10:30 a.m.
II - 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Dates: September 15-November 18, 2008

Atomic Art: Workshops for Home Schooled children
Ages: 7-12
Students continue to expand their art skills in drawing, painting and
sculpture while looking at art throughout this eight-week session.
Location: Courthouse Galleries Gift Shop
Time: Wednesdays, Session I- 10am-12 noon or Session II - 1-3pm

4th Annual Museum Day
Smithsonian Magazine and the Portsmouth Museums are celebrating the 4th
annual National Museum Day on September 27. Bring a Museum Day Admission
Card and the holder and one guest may enter the museum for free.
Admission Cards can be obtained in the September issue of Smithsonian
Magazine or from the web site at
http://microsite.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/. Be a part of the
national celebration, get into the museums for free and celebrate the
cultural offerings and other activities offered right here in Hampton
Roads. See you there.
